The Shipwrights’ Almhouses, Ocean Street, Stepney
The almshouses, no longer in existence, were not connected with the Company. They may have been one of the charities of the shipbuilders Greens of Blackwall.
There appears to be no record of the provenance of this icture, which was recovered from the Baltic Exchange in 1982.
Watercolour painting by T H Shepherd, London, 1857.
