RNLI Egg

Gold, silver-gilt, blue enamel, diamond and cultured pearl model egg,  the egg decorated to the exterior in transluscent royal blue enamel on an engine turned ground in the Faberge taste, with the hinged lid opening to teveal a scale model of a Tyne-class lifeboat made of gold . red velvet lined within, with cultured pearl divisions The lid with diamond set swags centered by RNLI enamelled pennant. The supporting base formed as three mermaids with three pendant anchors from chains on a stepped circular base.

On a wooden base are two silver plaques engraved respectively:

 The Chichester RNLI Egg was donated to the RNLI Chichester Branch

and

Presented to the WCOS by the RNLI Chichester Branch 19 June 1991

 Presented 1991 by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Chichester Branch.
