Oil Painting of Shipwright’s Arms
Oil painting Formerly in the possession of the father of Mr Alexander N. Black. The latter, Chief Draughtsman at Messrs Hawthorn Leslie’s Hebburn Shipyard, hung it in the Board Room there , from which Mr Reginald Ibison, Liveryman, removed it at Black’s request when the yard was taken over by Swan Hunter Shipbuilders Limited in 1967. In 1980, after he had retired, Mr Ibison presented the picture to the Company.
