Liverpool Ware Jug
8.1/2in high, with underglaze transfers with some overglaze colouring, shewing on one side the Shipwrights’ Arms, portrayed with ark in place of ship, naval crown in place of crest, and supporters holding dexter, a stick, and sinister a short axe in place of the correct tools: on the other a wooden ship on a building berth, flying the red ensign aft and the union flag forward; on the front of the spout, hand painted overglaze:
