Shipwrights Apprenticeship Scheme Manager attends boat naming ceremony at QE2 Activity Centre, Hamble.

In 2021 the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights generously agreed to grant £1,500 towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible motorboat for the QE2 Activity Centre, Hamble, Hampshire. Yesterday was the naming ceremony for the  boat, attended by the Shipwrights Company Apprenticeship Scheme manager. Fortunately the sun came out in time for Sally and Kate to name the boat the ‘Peter Gardiner’ in honour of their late brother. A wonderful day.
