Apprenticemakers has been developed to help apprentice employers across the country make connections and ask each other questions about the benefits and challenges associated with recruiting apprentices.
The community aims to support a greater take up of Apprenticeships amongst small and medium businesses (SMEs) and has been developed following a recommendation in the Holt Review to support peer to peer mentoring between employers.
Apprenticemakers have produced a case study of Krueger Ltd, a marine heating and cooling systems installation company that are being supported by the Shipwrights’ Apprenticeship Scheme with their first apprentice, Owen. Follow the link to see what Krueger make of their first foray into apprenticeship training:
Please feel free to join the apprenticemakers community and take advantage of the established community portal for Boat Building and Marine Engineering.
