Thanks from the Scout Association
Please find attached our latest update, which outlines the impact of the generous support over The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights over the past year. Thank you once again for your continued commitment to helping young people access adventure and develop skills for life through Scouting.
Your support has enabled us to support local Scout Groups invest in training and permits for volunteers, significantly increasing the number of qualified leaders able to deliver safe, high-quality water-based activities. As a result, more young people are now able to regularly take part, building confidence, resilience and teamwork while benefiting from time outdoors.
What is particularly powerful about this funding is its lasting impact. By equipping volunteers with recognised qualifications, the benefits extend far beyond a single activity, enabling groups to run ongoing programmes and reach young people year after year.
As we look ahead, demand for this type of provision remains strong. At the same time, the cost of training courses and permits has gradually increased, and we are keen to ensure that the funding continues to deliver the same level of support to groups. We would therefore welcome the opportunity, at an appropriate point, to review the level of funding together to help maintain this level of impact.
We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and the difference you make to young people across the UK. I would be delighted to discuss this further or provide any additional information if helpful.
