Thank you from the AHOY Centre Charity

The following letter of thanks to the Shipwrights’ Company has been received from the AHOY Centre Charity.

As we approach the year end, I wanted to share our gratitude once more for your support.

2021 continued to share some of the same hurdles we navigated during the previous year – but through our learning and reactive thinking, we were once again able to fulfil the anticipated outcomes of many of our projects – albeit with some slight amendments to ensure their safe and Covid compliant delivery along the way.

Fundraising is always a competitive ask within our sector, and even more so during the past 18 months of dealing with a worldwide health pandemic. We’d like to express our thanks to those that have continued to support AHOY through your fundraising, volunteering and general kind words of encouragement – without people like you believing in our cause and going above and beyond to ensure we stay afloat – we most certainly wouldn’t have been able to welcome and gain the positive results that we achieve this year whilst offering a sense of relief and ‘normality’ to some of the most disadvantaged young people and disabled adults in our community.

We’re pleased to report that during 2021 we:

  • Welcomed a total 338 young people to our projects.
  • Provided 225 nationally recognised qualifications.
  • Partnered with over 20 local schools, youth groups and young people’s services.
  • Continued to provide and facilitate our 5 core projects to their fullest all year.
  • Engaged and became a recognised organisation within our community.

As we come to the year end and begin our reflections on the past 12 month, one thing that remains clear is the strength and commitment we have from our supporters like you – and we hope you reflect back too and take warmth from the positive impact you have made of charitable organisations this year.

We’re extremely excited as to what 2022 brings to AHOY and we cannot wait for you to be part of our success in changing young people’s lives.

On behalf of The AHOY Centre Charity, Thank you and we wish you all a happy holiday season.

Kindest regards

Dan O’Sullivan, Fundraising Manager
