Tall Ships Youth Trust – Launch of Challenger 5

On Thursday 4 June 2026 the Prime Warden, Mr Andreas Bisbas, headed up a small group of Shipwrights on a visit to Portsmouth to witness HRH The Princess Royal officially launch Challenger 5, the Tall Ships Youth Trust’s newest vessel, the acquisition and refit of which was funded in a co-venture between The Shipwrights’ Company and The Gosling Foundation.  In recognition of this Challenger 5 proudly carries the names of both supporters permanently on her hull as can be seen in the attached photograph.

The Prime Warden was accompanied by the Immediate Past Prime Warden, Admiral Sir George Zambellas GCB DSC DL,  the Renter Warden, Mr Nick Marshall, the Third Warden, Ms Catherine Mulvihill, Past Prime Warden Mr Archie Smith BEM and the Clerk.
