Shipwrights’ Annual Banquet – 28 October 2024

The Prime Warden, Simon Beale hosted the Shipwrights’ Company’s Annual Banquet at Mansion House last night by kind permission of The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor, Alderman Professor Michael Mainelli. The Lord Mayor was present to watch the Prime Warden and Liveryman Commodore Rob Bellfield CBE DL RN take the highly significant step of signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

At dinner the Fifth Warden, Catherine Mulvihill, gave the toast to the guests, and the Lord Mayor replied on their behalf before the principal guest and speaker, All Black legend, Sean Fitzpatrick ONZM, gave an inspiring speech and did the Shipwrights the incredible honour of performing a Haka!  Was that a Mansion House first?
