SEAFARERS AWARENESS WEEK 23-30 JUNE - The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights

As we prepare for this year’s Seafarers Awareness Week (23-30 June) we now offer our dedicated website and social media channels to promote events and activities that help to raise public awareness of the UK’s ‘island nation’ dependence on our maritime industries, at sea and ashore.

Seafarers UK can provide free publicity for events added online at https://www.seafarers.uk/campaigning/seafarers-awareness-week/events/ Please upload your event details even if entry is not open to the general public.

This year we are especially keen to publicise events and activities that promote maritime industry jobs, including engineering roles. Where appropriate we are directing interest and enquiries to Maritime UK’s website – see https://www.maritimeuk.org/careers/

But, as usual for Seafarers Awareness Week, we welcome all kinds of events, activities and PR initiatives that help to overcome public ‘sea blindness’ – so please feel free to get involved!
