Annual Golf Match – Shipwrights’ vs Ironmongers’ Companies

The annual golf match against the Ironmongers’ Company took place at Kingswood Golf Club in Surrey (near Tadworth) on Wednesday 22 June 2022.  Due to a number of unfortunate last minute drop-outs the Shipwrights‘ were struggling to field a team and were looking for up to 3 more players to join the  side.  They must have got them, and they must have been rather good because the Shipwrights’ won!!  Many congratulations!

Known players were Patrick White (Captain), Roger Holt, Richard Givan, Jeremy Penn and Bruce Lambie. The photograph shows Patrick White accepting the Trophy from Mike Pearson of Ironmongers’ Company.  The trophy is a port decanter engraved with both companies’ coats of arms.
