Shipwrights Apprenticeship Scheme Manager and Scheme Chairman visit City College Southampton.

The Shipwrights’ Apprenticeship Scheme manager and the Scheme Chairman, Mr. Alan Cartwright, recently enjoyed a very valuable visit to the marine skills training centre of City College Southampton, based at Woolston. They were kindly given the comprehensive tour by lecturers Paul Stevens and Matt Yarwood.  There are two apprentices at the Woolston marine skills centre that were previously sponsored by us – Simon Styles-Burgess of Northshore Shipyard, Chichester and Steven Ellis of Signature Marine, based at the Hamble Marina. It was a most informative tour of their very impressive marine engineering and boat building facilities.
