The owner of the yacht “Menai” and  winner of the cup  was Mrs. Beck’s brother. Canon Beck was admitted to the freedom and livery of the Company on 23rd July 1878 and was elected Honorary Chaplain to the Company on 13th January 1891.

 Silver chased and decorated cup and column cover. Weight: 112 ozs.  Height: 25 ins.  Made by Edward Charles Brown, London, 1871.  Design no. 6387 under base.
