Presented by Sir Amos L. Ayre, KBE, in commemoration of his year as Prime Warden, 1946-1947.

 “Empire Kitchener” was built by the Caledon Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. Ltd. at Dundee in 1944, one of the Standard Fast Cargo Liners designed at Sir Amos’s instigation while Deputy Controller of Merchant Shipbuilding and Repairs, Admiralty, during the Second World War. She later became the Canadian Pacific “Beaverford” and was wrecked in 1969.

Scale 1/8th.inch to a foot, in display case 6ft. wide x 16.1/2ins. deep x 5ft.2ins. high.
